- Dan's Meal Plan -

 

Breakfast:

  1. Piece of fruit or glass of juice - but not both.
  2. Multi-grain cereal (organic preferred) or Oatmeal or Eggs: If you have eggs they should be eaten with leafy green vegetables.  Example: spinach, celery, lettuce, kale, or parsley.
  3. 1 slice of Multi-grain bread (organic preferred).
  4. 1 cup of skim or 2% milk or soy milk or coffee or green tea.
    ** Have fruit first before anything.

 

Morning Snack:
  1. Fruit or cut vegetables (raw) or nuts or a multi-grain snack bar.
    **Avoid green peppers - they are not ripe.

 

Lunch:
  1. Sandwich on multi-grain bread with a small salad, a cup of soup is optional.  Or you may have a salad mixed with meat, or fish, or poultry. Example: Stuffed Tomato with chicken salad or tuna salad.  Another example is a Chicken Ceasar Salad.
  2. Water with a slice of lemon and/or lime, or 1 cup skim/2% milk, or coffee or green tea.
    ** Stay with one kind of animal product per meal.

 

Afternoon Snack:
  1. Same as morning snack.  Note: if you plan to have an animal product for dinner, have fruit.

 

Dinner:
  1. Large leafy green salad.
  2. Protein: Meat or Fish or Poultry or a Tofu Veggie Burger.
  3. Raw Vegetable(s) or Steamed Vegetables or Microwaved Vegetables, though Raw Vegetables are preferred.
  4. Water with a slice of lemon and/or lime, or skim milk or 2% milk or soy milk.

    AT DINNER AVOID: Bread, Pasta (may be eaten at lunch), Rice, Corn, Potatoes, Fruit, Cheese, Nuts, Desserts, and Alcohol.

    *Stay with one kind of animal product per meal.

    *Avoid Salt (Iodized Salt) - Celtic Sea Salt is preferred.

    *Try to avoid products that are enriched and fortified with nutrients that are synthetic, which the human body cannot assimilate.  Example: Enriched Flour in Breads and Pastas, Fortified Cereals with vitamins and minerals.  This is why Organic foods are preferred.
